William A. “Bill” Ettenhofer Jr., 86, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2015, at Christian Park Village.
He was born in Escanaba on April 10, 1929, the son of the late William and Mable (Nelson) Ettenhofer Sr.
Bill married the Jean Rita Couillard on October 25, 1949 at St. Patrick’s Church.
Bill worked for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 36 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating and spending time outside. Bill loved to visit with friends and family.
Bill was a member of the U.P. Whitetails Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; sons, Alan (Connie) Ettenhofer, Michael (Ginny) Ettenhofer, Adam (Teresa) Ettenhofer, and Raymond Ettenhofer; grandchildren, Tanya, David, Ashley, Scotty, Justin, Nathan, Brittany, Stacy, and Eric; and great grandchildren, Makayla, Chase, AJ, and Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. with Rev. Eric Olson officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
