Died August 18th, 2019

Wayne August Teal, 90, of Bark River, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Phlox, WI on January 30, 1929. At age 6, his family moved to Bark River.  It was at this time his parents, Ray and Lorraine Teal first established Teal’s Evergreens near the old Derocher Market.  In later years, the business was moved to its current location.

Wayne married the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Calouette on July 19, 1947. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage before she passed in 2017.

Wayne loved to travel.  He and Bonnie made many trips abroad and toured the USA.  He always looked forward to a yearly fishing trip to Canada and loved time spent with his buddies at hunting camp. Most important to him were family and friends.  He was an avid Bronco basketball fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play.  He was a kind and gentle soul who loved life and saw the value in all people and nature.  He will be greatly missed but now is at peace with his Bonnie Jean.

Wayne is survived by his children, Bonnie Kaye and Larry Curtin, Terry and Kathy (Hooker) Teal, Mary Jo and John Robinette, and Lori and Clarence Lohrey; grandchildren, Sandy (Rob) Keslin, Sheryl (Brad) Dagenais, Valerie Teal, David (Deanna) Robinette, Rick (Melissa) Robinette, Vicki (Jamie) DeGrand, Bethany (John Norman) Lohrey, Jennifer Lohrey and Scott (Stefanie) Lohrey; great grandchildren, Nick, Kenadie, Teigan, Brie (Ryan), Megan, Johnnie, Zach, Emily, Gracie, Timmy, Levi, Adian, Carter and Grayson Wayne.  Wayne is also survived by in-laws, Joan Stevenson, John and Joan Calouette and Don and Sharon Calouette as well as many nieces and nephews.
