Sister Jo Lynn St. John, went to eternal life, November 28, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Linda Lee St. John was born August 2, 1945 in Escanaba, to Joseph and Gwendolyn (Weaver) St. John. She was raised in Powers and graduated from Powers/Spalding High School in 1964.
Linda dedicated her life to the Lord and on July 14, 1964 at Notre Dame of the Lake in Mequon, Wisconsin she became Sister Mary Joseph Lynn.
Survivors include her brother, Aaron (Laurel) St. John; sister in law, Sandy St. John; nephew, Alan (June) St. John; nieces, Lana St. John, Jaclyn (Robert) Feller, Lynnette (Dan) Stein and Allison Desotelle and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joe and Gwen St. John, she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard; infant nephew, Christopher St. John; and nephew, Arlan St. John.
Services will be held in Elm Grove, WI on Thursday, December 5, 2013 with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. (CST) and prayers at 10:30 a.m. (CST) A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in the Holy Family Chapel with burial to follow. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, December 12th at 5 p.m. (CST) at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Spalding, MI with Rev. Michael Vichich officiating. A meal will follow the memorial mass in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the Linda’s honor to the School Sister’s of Notre Dame of Elm Grove Retirement Fund, 1305 Watertown Plank Road, Elm Grove, WI, 53122.
