Shirley “Mom” Grenier, 69, 304 S. 16th St., Escanaba, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at her home surrounded by her children.
She was born on April 6, 1945 in Escanaba, daughter of Frederick and Bernice (LaComb) Juneau. Shirley graduated from Holy Name High School in 1964.
Shirley loved going on “hot dog” runs. She also enjoyed doing things on her tablet, and spending time with her special grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley had a big heart and was known for her warm loving hugs.
Among survivors include three daughters, Aimee (Jeff) Vertz, Bonnie (James) Gereau and Sherry Grenier all of Escanaba; son, Francis Grenier, Jr. of Escanaba; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Vertz, Jr., Brittney Evitts, Alexandria Vertz, Katrina Gereau, Joshua Grenier, Jared Grenier, Dylan Grenier and Drake Grenier; five great grandchildren, Kelsey Beauvais, Macie Evitts, Trevyn and Keaton Grenier and Sebastian Baker; sisters, Joyce (Bill) Jones of Gladstone and Mary Juneau of Escanaba; brothers, Robert (Gertrude) Anderson of Gladstone and Francis (Betty) Juneau of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Juneau and companion, William Langrick.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27th from noon to 1 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
