Sandra “Sandie” L. (Moreau) Dion, 74, of Escanaba, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at The Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Sandie, daughter of Leonard “Sport” and Mildred (Buckland) Moreau, was born on July 24, 1942 in Escanaba. She graduated from Holy Name High School.

She worked as a District Manager for Avon for thirty-three years.

Sandie was a member of the Eagles and Amvets.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, watching game shows and spending time with her grandchildren.

Among survivors include her daughters, Michelle Dion, Denise Nelson and Pamela LaVance all of Escanaba; grandchildren, Collin and Hannah Nelson, and Justin LaVance; and great grandson, Bentley Nelson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jim Orzel and brothers, Dennis “Sav” and Bill Moreau.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16th from 3-5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 5 p.m. with Rev. Eric Olson officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Dion family.

    So sorry to hear of your moms passing. May you find strength in each other and some comfort in knowing she is at peace.

  2. I was so saddened to hear about your Mom’s passing. I knew her for many years, ten of those years I sold Avon with her!
