Sandra “Sandy” Jean Mary Fleury, 72, 1169 Truax 24th Road, Cornell, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
She was born on August 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Edmund and Dorothy (Dennison) Sullivan. Sandy was raised in Chicago and attended Fenger High School in Chicago.
On March 26, 1960, Sandra Sullivan married Edward Fleury in Chicago.
In 2009, Sandy and Ed moved to Cornell.
Sandra was a member of the Sherlock Holmes Club and she loved to cook. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Among survivors include her husband, Edward of Cornell; daughter, Diana (John) Clark of Cornell; son, Dale (Rose) Fleury of Escanaba; five grandchildren, Allison Fleury, John (Kelsey) Clark, Elizabeth Fleury, Erin Clark, Jacquelyn Fleury; great grandchildren, Alleigh Fleury; sister, Joyce (Fred) Fares of Lockport, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Fleury; and brothers, Orland and Robert Sullivan.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Douglas Fleury officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
