Richard A. “Dick” Deiter, 72, passed away on early Friday morning, December 5, 2014 at Christian Park Health Care Center.

He was born on March 11, 1942 in Escanaba, son of Jesse and Daisy (Burr) Deiter.

Dick was a lifelong resident of Escanaba and was employed at Lakestate Industries for 23 years, until his retirement.

He loved to hunt and spend time at camp. He enjoyed riding his “bug” as he referred to his gator and loved people.

Among survivors include his brother, Donald (Cindy) Deiter of CA; niece, Darlene (Larry) Leach of Gladstone; cousin, Roy Sebeck of Escanaba who helped care for him; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 8th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.

Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

    Thinking of you at this time, may warm memories ease your sorrow. I especially enjoyed Uncle Dickie’s smile,hugs and just spending time with him. Lots of memories that will certainly be missed by all.

  2. I am unable to come to the wake and funeral for Dickie as i knew him as. He always had his head high and enjoyed life.
