Olga E. “AJ” Yagodzinski, 86, Wilson, passed away on Thursday evening, March 17, 2016 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility surrounded by her family.

She was born in Princeton, MI on January 12, 1930, daughter of the late Emil and Alma (Anderson) Myrvall.

Olga graduated from Harris High School.
On January 7, 1950, Olga married Frank Yagodzinski in Stephenson.

Olga was lovingly referred to as “AJ” by her husband, for her NASCAR like driving ability.

She was a committed volunteer for 26 years as a Senior Companion to many people in the area.
Olga enjoyed vacations, crocheting, reading recipe books and planning parties.

Olga is survived by her loving husband, Frank; children, Allen (Karen) Yagodzinski of Wilson and Linda (Dennis) LaMarch of Escanaba; son in law, Alvin Grabowski of Escanaba; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Becky Cody) Yagodzinski of Escanaba, Melissa (Adam) Mercier of Powers, Miranda Yagodzinski of Wilson, Phil (Sara) LaMarch of Gladstone, and Shondra (Jeffrey) Bryer of Stonington; many great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Grabowski; and siblings, Earland Myrvall, Dorothy Donovan, and Floyd Myrvall.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. Funeral services will follow at Salem Lutheran Church in Bark River at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Strom officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Entombment will be in Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Yagodzinski family.

  1. Our sincere sympathy to the family of Olga as her family were very good friends of mine as members of Salem and with a working relationship with Earland at the Rebuilders. LeRoy and Verna Johnson

  2. I still remember our trip to Albuquerque, NM for Spring break on Route 66.
