Michael “Mike” L. Seely Jr.  45, of Stephenson, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his home.

Mike was born in Menominee, MI. on March 14, 1973, son of, Michael and Donna (Homernik) Seely Sr. He was raised in Carney and attended Carney-Nadeau School.

He was self-employed in the area doing odd jobs for people.

Mike enjoyed fixing small engines, hunting and fishing, but most of all he especially loved being with his children.

Mike is survived by his mother, Donna Gustafson of Carney; wife, Marie Seely; children, Queven and Qualice Seely all of Stephenson; siblings, Darla (Doug) Bonno of Iron River, Diana Seely of Menominee, and Della Brown of Stephenson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael and sister, Donna Jean Friggi.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12th at the Carney Free Church in Carney from 3-4 p.m. (CST) The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. (CST) with Pastor Kit Bogan officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

  1. My sincere sympathies to the entire Seely family with Mike’s passing. He was a student of mine and I will always remember his “can do” attitude no matter what life threw at him. Special condolences to Marie, Queven and Qualice all of whom I know quite well.

  2. I personally would like to thank everybody for their kind words and thought in this time of grief. I know I will miss Mike greatly. we had lost touch over the last couple of years, for that I will eternally be sorry. He always tried to do the best he could with what he had. He would listen if I needed to talk. I tried to be there for him as well, He will never be forgotten. His children are going to need a lot of support now, they are taking this very hard. Please I beg of you, listen with your head and hearts.
