Mary Ann Shiverski, 89, formerly of Perronville, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home at West Highland Apartments Escanaba.

She was born on May 19, 1926 in Escanaba, daughter to Frank and Agnes (Stempien) Darulic. Mary graduated from Harris High School.

On August 29, 1942, Mary Darulic married Steve Shiverski at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Perronville.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River.

Among survivors include her children, Rose (Ernie) Kaven of Newberry, Jerry Shiverski, Linda (Carl) Bartoszek, Joe (Laurie) Shiverski, Tom (Angie) Shiverski all of Perronville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Frank Gaber.

In addition to her parents and husband, Steve; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann; three sisters and four brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in the spring with burial to follow.

Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Perronville.

Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army of Escanaba in Mary’s name.

A notice will follow in the Daily Press in the spring to make friends and family aware of the service information.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Shiverski family.

  2. So sorry to hear about cousin Mary’s passing,wish I would have stayed in touch more with her after I moved from Bark River. She was a kind and caring person that I enjoyed spending time with. My thoughts are with the rest of the family at their time of loss.
