Marvin J. Ray, 96, of Bark River passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2019 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
Marvin was born in Carney, MI on October 30, 1922, son of John and Violet (Peterson) Ray. He was raised in Stephenson and graduated from Stephenson High School.
On September 4, 1948, Marvin married Bernice Gustafson at Palestine Covenant Church. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2017.
Marvin was the owner of Ray’s Feed Mill in Bark River.
Among survivors are his children, Tom (Charlotte), Mark (Nancy), Ruth (Don) Ives, Rick (Michelle) all of Bark River, and Jim (Janice) of Green Bay; daughter in law, Carole of Bark River; grandchildren, Brian (Jodi) Ray, Michael Ray, Aaron ray, Diana (David) Oman, Bethany (Andrew) Gearhart, Brittany (Steve) Dubord, Erin Ray, Rachelle (Derek) Olson, Samantha Ray, Bradley (Shelby) Ives, Michael Floyd and D.J. Malone; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Bev; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Paul.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Bark River Bible Church. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Bradley Cochrane officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.
Burial will be in Bark River Cemetery.
