Louise M. Tussing, 73, of Escanaba, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on October 17, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Big Rapids.

Louise was born in Hancock on October 25, 1943, daughter of Leonello and Albertina (Consani) Pardini. She was raised in Hancock and graduated from Hancock High School. She worked at Kmart from 1976 to 2006.

Louise was an avid reader and political junkie. She also enjoyed building puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On November 30, 1963, Louise married Dale Tussing at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church in Hancock. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2010. Her parents also preceded her in death, along with her sister Olga (Armando) Villanelli and brother Mario (June) Pardini.

She will be lovingly missed by her children, Suzanne Nonhof of Big Rapids, Joseph (Elvira) Tussing of Escanaba, and Christine (Roy) Hagle of Comstock Park; her grandchildren, Anthony (Lindsay) Nonhof-Fisher, Sara (AJ) Johnson, Elizabeth Nonhof, Nicholas and Ashley Tussing, and Madison, Bryce and Caleigh Hagle; her siblings, Ida Ricci of Escanaba, Joni (Richard) Davis of New Port Richie, FL, and Albert Pardini of Hancock, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Delta County Cancer Alliance or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Entombment will take place at Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.

Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Tussing family.

  1. Joni and Louise were very close, they bought their fist car together ( the blue valiant), went to Italy together, shared late nights with chip & Pepsi.It has been a while since they were able to see each other in person, but we will miss her greatly

  2. I was saddened to hear of Louise’s passing. She was an amazing woman and I loved and appreciated her and her wit. Heaven gained one amazing angel. Sending love to all of her family.

  3. Uncle Butch and I are saddened to hear of your loss. We enjoyed visiting with Louise, and going out to the casino. Las Vegas was a good time too. We’ll see you on Saturday.
