Lois Robitaille Hanson

Died August 14th, 2020

Lois Robitaille Hanson, 91, of Escanaba, went to be in the Arms of the Lord with her loving children beside her early Friday morning, August 14, 2020.

She was born on December 1, 1928 in Perkins, daughter of Walter and Vine (Gerou) Sharkey.  Lois graduated from St. Joseph High School.

Lois married Raymond Robitaille and were married for 27 years.  They were blessed with five beautiful children and she enjoyed raising and caring for her family.  She married Wesley Hanson and he preceded her in death.

Lois loved dancing, singing, enjoying her home and she often spoke despite her age God gave her the gift of always feeling young inside.  She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.  Being with her family was her biggest joy.

She was a member of St. Anne’s Church.

Among survivors include her five children, Lee (Janice) Robitaille, Ken (Sue) Robitaille, Jerry (Judy Petrick), Joy (John Minella) Meyers all of Escanaba and Mary (Larry) LaMarche of Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Walter, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Todd Sharkey and sister, Joy Holland.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 18th from 2 – 3:45 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.

Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.

  1. Lois was a joy to take care when she was with us at CPV. Always had a smile and kind word to say. Heaven got another Angel. God Bless the family during this time.

  2. Lois was a wonderful lady with such a beautiful soul. She often talked about her children with such pride and love. Glad she was able to be with her family…spending her final days with the ones she loved the most. Thankful for the time I was able to spend with her. Praying for her loved ones during this difficult time.
