Lloyd “Hans” (as he said, “short for Handsome”) Fazer passed away on July 2, 2017 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility. Lloyd was born July 28, 1932, the youngest child of Theodore and Irene (Kell) Fazer.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Lawrence) whom he married in 1953, children Bob (Mary) Fazer, Joni (Lee) Vincent, Toni (Jim) Behrend, Teri (Joe) Kirschner, Tami (Paul) Wolf, and Tom (Mayerly) Fazer, sister Marvel Beauchamp, 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melvin and Vernon, sisters Eunice, Shirley, Phyllis and Beverly, and a Great-granddaughter, Aubrey Renee Mercier.
Lloyd served in the US Army, and retired from St. John Forest Products in 1994. He was an avid Packers/Bears/Lions fan, depending on which child was in the house during football games. He enjoyed teaching his sons & grandsons how to hunt and fish, casino trips and spending time at camp with the crew making up new rules for card games (of which he usually won).
The family would like to thank the staffs at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility and OSF Hospital for their compassionate care during his stay there.
Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting with a private family service at a later date.
Interment will be at the Spalding Township Cemetery.
