Linda M. Brower, 69, of Gladstone, passed away early Sunday morning, November 15, 2015 at her home with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 8, 1946 in Escanaba, daughter to Rudolph and Iris (Schultz) Peterson. Linda graduated from Escanaba High School.

On July 25, 1975, the former Linda Peterson married William “Bill” C. Brower in Escanaba.

Linda was involved with pool league for 27 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and traveling to see friends and family. She had a huge passion for animals, especially her dog, Scrappy and her cats she had over the years.

Among her survivors include her husband, Bill of Gladstone; children, Kathi Brower (Marty Labumbard) of Escanaba (Hyde, Todd (Karin) Brower of Perkins and Lisa (Rick) Benoit of Escanaba; grandchildren, Jami Kay Kobasic, Jessica Dupey, Terry D. Brower, Nick and Rick Benoit; great grandchildren, Shaelee Brunette, Tre Brunette, Shane Lefiles, and Connor Wellman; sisters, Joyce Koish and Doty (Billy) Meier; brother, David (Karen) Peterson; sisters in law, Eunice VanElsacker, Bonnie Brower, Judy (Don) Frasier and Phyllis Spade; brother in law, Joe Erickson; best friend, Fran Dwyer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry W. Brower; brothers, Rudy Peterson and DeWayne Peterson; brothers in law, Donald Koish, Benny and Gordon Brower; and sister in law, Beverly Neilsen.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Friday, November 27th at the USW Local 21 Union Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba, with her family welcoming friends and relatives from 3 – 6 p.m. to share memories and a meal will follow at 6 p.m.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Brower family.
