Leonard E. Lanaville, 89, of Silverwood,MI, and formally from the Wilson area, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017, at Pinecrest Medical Facility in Powers.
Leonard was born in Gourley Township on January 25, 1928, son of Earl and Elizabeth (DeGrave) Lanaville. He was raised in Gourley Township and attended Highland Dale Academy in LaCrosse, WI.
He was married to Gloria (Chartier) in 1948 and together they had 7 children. Leonard is survived by his children, Allen (Sharon) Lanaville of Wilson, Beverly (Gary) Berger of Carney, Donald (Debbie) Lanaville of Spokane WA, Debra (Michael) Groleau of Wilson and Sherry (Doug) Vander Venter of Poynette, WI; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren; siblings, Ray (Vernita) Lanaville of Silverwood, MI, and Charlene (John) Long of Bourbonnais, IL.
In 1980 he married Kay Christiansen. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2017.
Leonard worked as a truck driver most of his life. He also enjoyed working in the woods. He loved to go camping and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kay, Leonard is preceded in death by daughters, Kathleen Kellogg and Kim Ball; grandchildren, Greg Berger and Ben Vander Venter.
There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. EST at the Wilson Jr. Academy. A meal will follow the graveside service in the fellowship hall.
