Larry J. Bero, 67, 6638 Patricia 0.07 Street, Wells, passed away on December 3, 2014, at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Escanaba on January 17, 1947, the son of Willard and Joyce (Bellefeuil) Bero. Larry was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Holy Name Catholic School in 1965.

On October 21, 1967, Larry married Sandra Mackie at All Saints Church in Gladstone. She survives him.

Larry, along with his brothers, Bob and Dwayne owned and operated Bero Motors, a car dealership started by their father Willard. Larry retired in 2011.

He was a very generous and giving man who did so much for so many people. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Terrace Bluff Golf Course. Larry also enjoyed watching and working on stock cars, and was an avid Nascar and Dale Earnhardt fan. One of his favorite pastimes was working on his man cave and all the things he liked to restore.

His greatest joy was spending time with his 4 grandsons Alex, Braeden, and Connor Lamberg, and Niklas Hansen.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; daughters, Lisa (Scotty) Meyer of Oshkosh, WI, Laura (Loran) Lamberg of Gladstone, Kristi (Jimmy) Hansen of Escanaba; brothers; Dwayne (Lois) Bero and Robert (Shirley) Bero; and four grandchildren, Alex, Braeden, Connor Lamberg and Niklas Hansen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Scott Stephen Bero.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, private services were held. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the Bero Family, 9054 Minnewasca Q Drive, Gladstone, MI 49837.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Bero Family.
