Kenneth Edward “Ken” Motto, 63, 1176 12th Road, Bark River, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at his home. He was a life long resident of Bark River.

He was born on August 10, 1950 in Gourley Twp., son of Tony and Alice (Skyja) Motto. Ken graduated from Bark River Harris High School.

Ken was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail sorter.

He enjoyed following Bark River sporting events and the Green Bay Packers. Ken collected recipes and loved dogs and cats.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Among survivors include his three sisters, Carol Hay of Escanaba, Hazel Diviak of Oregon, and Irene Perry of Florida; two brothers, Jim Motto of Escanaba and Ray Motto of Bark River; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 12th from 9 to 11 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 11 p.m. with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating. A luncheon will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Burial will be in the Bark River Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Motto family.
