Kathy (Rudden) Shriber, 60, of Bark River, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. Wisconsin, following a brief illness.

Kathy was born on June 14, 1955, in Escanaba, daughter of Patrick W. and Theresa M. (Viau) Rudden. Kathy attended Holy Name School, and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1973.

On September 6, 1980, Kathy married the love of her life, Robert J. Shriber, at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba. Kathy truly loved and adored her husband of 35 years.

Kathy was a hotel food and beverage manager prior to gaining employment at Anthony & Co, where she worked in sales for the last 25 years. Kathy enjoyed her career; it gave her much pleasure and satisfaction to be with her Anthony & Co. family every day.

She loved gardening, working in her flowers, cooking, camping, and being outdoors. Kathy always enjoyed a good bonfire; she proudly earned herself the title of “campfire queen”. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Among survivors include her husband, Bob, of Bark River; daughter, Kristy Bichler of Escanaba; mother, Theresa Rudden of Escanaba; grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Boudreau, Jiri Solka, and Jordan Bichler all of Escanaba; brothers, Pat (Laurie Rogers), Dennis, Dave (Sharon), and Mark (Lori) Rudden all of Escanaba, and Ron (Mary) Rudden of Ft. Jones, CA; sisters, Joan (Charles) Edwards of Punta Gorda, FL, Ann Larson of Escanaba and Chris (Steve) Harris of Iron Mountain, MI; brothers in law, Ken (Rhonda) of Dimondale, MI and Bob (Gayla) Burgess of Greenville, MI; sisters in law, Beckie McCoy of Kalamazoo, MI and Beverly VanHoose of Greenville, MI and Rayleen Myers of Phoenix, AZ; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Patrick; brother, Michael Rudden; sister, Mary Hubert; father and mother in law, Leon and Rayleen Burgess.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 21st from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Emmett Norden officiating. A meal will be provided following the service at St. Anthony’s Church.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.

  4. oh my dear friend, I have so many found memories of our youth and past years. You had the heart of gold and the generosity of a thousand people, and would do anything to help a friend. I will miss your smile, my funny memories of our experiences with friends. Your funny quirks like (oh boy) and hay (Mrs.), how you loved to dance when we had a few, our talks and your wonderful family bond. I know you are with Mary and my mamma too, say I to them for me till I get there ok. I will miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Went to Holy Name with Kathy and then graduated with her in 1973 at Esky. I live now in Green Bay, WI I remember Kathy as a fun loving person. My prayers go out to her family at this difficult time! Bless you!
