Katherine ‘Kathy’ A. Farrell Tardiff

Katherine “Kathy” Ann Farrell Tardiff, 57, of Kipling, passed away early Sunday, December 31, 2017, following the diagnosis of cancer two months prior at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Kathy was born in Escanaba on July 19, 1960, daughter of Francis “Fritz” and Nona (Sayen) Farrell. She was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1978.

She worked as a secretary for her parents business, Northern Plumbing and Heating for many years. She then went to work as a bartender at the Bungalow, a waitress at Ferdinand’s Mexican Restaurant, then a cashier and cook at the Kipling Quick Mart.

On December 13, 2014, Kathy was united in marriage to John Tardiff in Gladstone.

Kathy was a lover of all animals, especially horses.

She was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Club.
She was a NASCAR fanatic and loved going to the infield turn three with her close friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband, John; children, Jayme Oman, Joshua Oman, and Mikayla Mathias; brothers, Michael (Debra) and Brian (Sue) Farrell all of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial for Kathy will be held at the Legion in Gladstone on January 13th from 3-9pm. Food dishes of any kind are welcome.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.

  1. I loved having Kathy in the family. She made us complete. Oh How she will be missed! I loved confiding in her so caring so special so open!
