Harry L. Burton, 76, of Germfask, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at St Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

He was born December 23, 1940, to Tuff and Jane Burton.

On July 12, 1963, He married Carolyn (Metcalf) Burton. They made their home in Germfask and raised their family there.

Harry was a heavy equipment operator for Inland Lime & Stone until his retirement in 1989. After his retirement, he and Carolyn went on to be caretakers for Camp Newton for several years.

Harry was born and raised in Germfask and loved his family and all things outdoors. He was a master of hunting, fishing, and trapping, and made sure to pass down this knowledge and passion to his kids and grandkids. Harry was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a great teller of stories and jokes and a natural entertainer. Harry enjoyed playing cards and the strategy involved. He was also an excellent athlete, coaching and playing baseball and softball for many years. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, but was quite sure he could have done a much better job managing that team.
