Germaine L. Schroder, 86, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Bishop Noa Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 24, 1930 in Vulcan, MI, daughter of Edward and Judith (Vicenzi) Meagher.
Germaine graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1948.
On October 17, 1953, Germaine married Dudleigh Schroder at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2008.
She was a member of St. Thomas Church.
Germaine always stressed the importance of family and loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her last few years living at Bishop Noa Home, she made many friends and loved all the staff like her family.
Germaine is survived by her daughter Lisa (Dean) Ingebrigtsen of Escanaba; grandchildren, Jason (Becky) Ingebrigtsen,, and Jennifer Ingebrigtsen, both of Marquette; great grandchildren, Noah, Ethan and Ainsley; siblings, Edward (Pat) Meagher and Marilyn Schultz of Iron Mountain; and brother in law Roger Palmcook of Aurora, WI.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dudleigh; she was preceded in death by her sister Corrine Palmcook.
Visitation will be Friday, March 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at St. Thomas Church with Rev. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
Entombment will be in Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bishop Noa Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
