Gerald “Jerry” M. Curran, 73, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at U.P. Health System in Marquette.
Gerald was born on April 7, 1943 to Michael and Mary (Walker) Curran. He graduated from Holy Name High School in 1961 and attended Northern Michigan University.
On September 14, 1976 Gerald married Mary Beth Kern.
Jerry worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad at the Ore Docks and retired as a foreman.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Church, the Eagles, the Elks, and enjoyed watching sports in his spare time.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Alex Machado) Curran of Winter Springs, FL, Anne (David) Frey of Orlando, FL, and Jennifer Curran of Escanaba; grandchildren, Xander and Maximus Frey, Adal and Adrianna Machado; and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5th at St. Anne’s Church with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. A meal will follow the service in the church hall.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Curran family.
