Flossie Mae Bottrell, 91, of Carney, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.

She was born on July 3, 1924 in Wilson, daughter to Frank and Gladys (Cory) Motto. Flossie was a lifelong resident of the Wilson and Carney area. She graduated from Harris High School in 1942.

On September 29, 1945, Flossie married Virgil Bottrell in Nadeau.

Flossie worked at Robinson Furniture for 40 years, she with her husband, Virgil also owned and operated a dairy and beef farm.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and baking.

She was a member of St. Bruno’s Church in Nadeau.

Among her survivors include her daughter, Joan Kirby of Carney; brother, Bert (Shirley) Motto of Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virgil, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Wilford and Rayne Motto; and a granddaughter, Tina Rose Kirby.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 10th from 2 – 4 p.m. (Central Time) at St. Bruno’s Church in Nadeau. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mike Vichich officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Burial will be in the Bark River Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Bottrell family.
