Eunice J. Doutree

Eunice J. Doutree, 86, Danforth, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Christian Park Village.

She was born in Escanaba on January 19, 1928 the daughter of Allen and Ida (Wery) Way.

Eunice was raised in Cornell and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1946.

On May 9, 1949, Eunice married Bertrum Doutree in Gladstone.

She was employed by Home Supply for 37 years as a sales clerk and book keeper. She retired in 1985.

Eunice loved going to the cottage on Ostrander Lake, traveling with Bertrum, and spending time with family, especially grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, dancing the polka, country music, and deer hunting.

Eunice is survived by her husband Bertrum; daughters, Christine (Bob) Alward of Flint, MI, Brenda (Bob) Gardiner of Wilsonville, OR, Donna (George) Dunlap of Escanaba, Lisa (Brian) Pascoe of Wilsonville OR; son, Allen (Bonnie) Doutree of Gladstone; sister, Dolores (Charles) Larsen of Gladstone; grandchildren, Jeff (Duana) and Marie Mofield, Tom Dunlap, Traci (Reggie) Lantagne, Andy (Karin), Brad (Anna), and Sarah Doutree, Jason and Heather Pascoe; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elwood “Cub” Way; sisters, Evelyn and Muriel Scheuren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Doutree family.
