Eleanor M. Weber, age 89, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Parkside Manor Rehab Center in Green Bay, WI.
Eleanor was born on July 13, 1926 in Escanaba, MI. The daughter of the late Lewis and Adele (Olson) Kopp. She graduated from Gladstone High School. She married William F. Weber in November 1946 in Escanaba, MI.
She worked many years as a secretary at American Timber Homes and retired from UPCAP in 1988. After retirement she moved to Green Bay in 1988 to be closer to her grandchildren.
She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and walking. She enjoyed her time at “The Koch’s Cottage”, spending time at Michael’s home on the Escanaba River, and visiting David at his home in Racine, WI. She did a lot of volunteer work for St. Anthony Church in Wells, U.P. State Fair, Daughters of Isabella, and was a member of Gladstone American Legion Auxiliary. She was a foster Grandmother for Encompass Daycare Center in Green Bay for 25 years. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She cherished the times spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, David Weber, Bark River, Michael Weber, Cornell, and Adele (Richard) Koch, Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Randy Weber, WI., Patrick (Doug) Weber-Bauman, Hollywood, FL., Joshua (Andrea) Koch, Green Bay, WI., and Amanda (Josh) DeBot, Green Bay, WI; and great-granddaughters Iliana and Amelia Koch, Green Bay, WI. Roger Poquette, Seattle, WA she considered him as another son and they had a special relationship. She also is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by, her parents; ex-husband, William F. Weber; son, Stephen A. Weber; brothers Wesley, Glenn, and Martin Kopp.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2015 at Crawford Funeral Home from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Wells officiated by Rev. Rick Courier. A meal will follow in the church hall.
Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, MI.
