Edward F. ”Ed” Krassick, 86, Bark River, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at UP Health System – Marquette.
He was born in Escanaba on September 27, 1928, son of the late Thomas and Anna (Novasel) Krassick. He attended Wells School.
Ed married Shirley Englund on April 16, 1955 at St. Joseph Church.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He enjoyed playing the accordion, hunting, fishing, three-wheeling, being outdoors, and going to the casino. He loved spending time with his grandson, Alex. He was a member of the VFW.
Ed retired from Chicago Northwestern Railroad after 36 years of employment.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughters, RoseAnn Caron and Tammy C. Krassick, both of Escanaba; son, Thomas E. (Mary Jean) Krassick of Ford River; grandson, Alex Thomas Krassick; and step grandchildren, Misty Caron on Milwaukee and Jack Caron of Gladstone.
Ed was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Emmett Norden.
Burial will be in the West Ford River Cemetery in the spring.
