Dorothy Mae Baker, 92, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2017 at Pinecrest Medical Facility.
She was born on October 30, 1924 in Allegan, MI, daughter to Raymond and Helen (Brown) Baker.
Dorothy graduated from Otsego High School and then from Prairie Bible Institute. She then spent 10 years serving the Lord as a missionary in Africa. When she came back to the states she graduated from Hackley School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She then met and married William Baker and they began their lives as pastor and wife. They ministered together for 25 years. Dorothy loved playing the piano and singing, as well as her dogs.
In addition to her husband, William, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Mark) Ray of Bark River; grandchildren, Diana (David) Oman, Aaron Ray and Samantha Mlostek; and great grandchildren, Allyson, Elsie, Gabriel, Alyse, Lauren, Kase, Jaylen and Liam.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29th from 4 pm to 6 pm EST at the Bark River Bible Church. The service will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Brad Cochrane officiating. A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall after the service.
