Dolores A. “Dee” Addis, 82, Escanaba, passed away on Sunday evening, October 11, 2015 at Bishop Noa Home.
She was born in Detroit on November 2, 1932, daughter of the late Firman and Gertrude (Valincourt) Bishop. Dolores moved to Delta County in 1971.
Dolores obtained an associate’s degree in nursing from Bay College. She worked as an LPN at St. Francis Hospital until her retirement in 1996.
She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, traveling, storytelling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Delores was a member of St. Anne’s Church and RSVP. She also volunteered for the Foster Grandparent Program.
She is survived by two daughters, Kellie (Rick) DeSalvo of Escanaba and Christie (Brian) Kleiman of Bark River; two brothers, Patrick (Mary Beth) Bishop of Green Bay and Richard “Dick” (Marcy) Bishop of Quartz Hill, CA; and six grandchildren, Melissa, Jacob, Megan, and Benjamin Kleiman, and Rachel (Christopher Updike) and Adam DeSalvo.
In keeping with Dolores’s wishes, no services will be held.
