Diana Lynn (Crowe) Robitaille, 52, 912 S. 18th St., Escanaba, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay following a brief illness.
She was born on August 9, 1963 in Escanaba, daughter to Kenneth and Nancy (Erickson) Crowe. Diana graduated from Escanaba High School and attended Bay College.
On October 24, 2009 Diana married Gerald “Jerry” Robitaille in Escanaba.
Diana previously worked at Bishop Noa Home as a certified nurse’s aide and several years cleaning many homes and businesses, including Crispigna’s Restaurant and the Sunshine Laundromat until an employment injury years prior finally forced her on disability.
A lifelong Green Bay Packer fan, she loved spending time with her family on Sundays to cheer them on. In recent years she found a passion for NASCAR racing, her favorite driver was #22 Joey Lagano. However, Diana’s love for Keith Urban was one of her biggest passions, having seen him in concert four times and planning her fifth adventure at the time she became ill. She also enjoyed making jewelry, having bonfires and BBQ’s with family and friends regularly.
Diana was a member of St. Anne’s Church, serving as a Eucharistic minister and enjoyed working several years at the church’s annual picnic.
Diana was looking forward to the birth of her daughter McKenna’s first child, expected in July and was overjoyed at being a grandmother. She would have been a world class grandmother as she is most fondly known by her friends and family as having the biggest, most giving heart they had ever known. Her loss will be felt by the one’s closest to her in a deep and profound way.
Among survivors include her husband, Jerry of Escanaba; daughter, McKenna Crowe of Escanaba; mother, Nancy Crowe of Escanaba; brother, Paul (Carol) Crowe of Escanaba; sister, Traci (Edward) Couillard of Oshkosh, WI; step children, Kimberly (Mark) Robinson of Trenton, MI, Kerri (Leo) Zalaznik of Suamico, Wi and Kenneth (Amber) Robitaille of Rapid River; step grandchildren, Alex and Zack Robinson, Leo IV, Myla and Grace Zalaznik, Timothy and Andi Robitaille; along with her nephew Travis “Budman” (Ashle) Crowe, niece Kennedi Couillard and nephews Cody and Cole Crowe.
She will be joining some special loved ones who preceded her in death, most notably her beloved father, Kenneth L. Crowe who passed away on December 6, 2001. Knowing she is with him is of great comfort to the many loved ones remaining. Many other family members and friends will also be welcoming her home.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 8th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.
