Cazmeralla M. Harris, 90, of W1055 U.S. 2 & 41, Wilson, passed away Friday evening, November 28, 2014 at Dickinson Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Cazmeralla was born on May 5, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Antone and Anna Wojtowicz. She moved to the Upper Peninsula at a young age and remained a lifelong resident of Wilson.
She married David J. Harris on May 5, 1942 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding.
Caz was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved working with her flowers and especially loved sharing her baking with her father. She was long time member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
Cazmeralla M. Harris is survived by 10 children, David C. (Jackie) of Baraboo, WI, Sally (Clyde) Gasparick of Ironwood, Jim (Nancy) of Hardwood, Theresa (Jim) Settles of Park Forest, IL, Tom (Connie), Ed (Sharon), Tony (Pam), Greg (Tammy), all of Wilson, Sheila Mathieson of Escanaba, and Caz (Scott) Palmgren of Bark River; 28 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; her sister, Helen Cappeart of Wilson; sisters in law, Agnes Pirlot of Spalding, Della Willa of Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, David J. Harris; her sisters, Mary, Stella, and Antoinette; her brothers, George and Ted; and her son in law, Clyde Mathieson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the church hall.
Burial will be in the Bark River Cemetery.
