Carol L. Robitaille, 71, of Escanaba passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at her home.

She was born on April 12, 1945 in Flint, daughter of Ernest and Irene Provo. Carol attended school in Flint until her family relocated to Escanaba when she was a teenager. She worked a variety of jobs in her younger years to help her parents.

On April 12, 1969, Carol married Joseph F. Robitaille at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2008.

She was employed with Andex for over 30 years until her retirement. Carol loved her job and the people she worked with.

Carol loved camping, Elvis, and attending bingo on Sunday and Monday every week.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary, American Veterans Auxiliary, and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Carol was also a member of St. Anne’s Church.

Carol is survived by her family, Joseph P. (Bridget) Robitaille of Manistique; grandchildren, Dakota Joseph, Dallion Russell, Shianna, Debra Lynn, and Dayton Paul Francis; sister in law, Lynn Robitaille of Escanaba; brother in law, Dan (Linda) Robitaille of Cornell; her dog, CJ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; and brother, Guy Provo.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 13th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.

Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Carol’s name to the Delta Animal Shelter.

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Robitaille family.
