Carol J. LaMarch

Died November 11th, 2016

Carol J. LaMarch, 67, formerly of Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL. with both of her daughters and their husbands at her side.

She was born on March 8, 1949 in Escanaba, daughter of Philip L. and Leona (Richer) LaMarch. Carol graduated from Holy Name High in 1967 and attended Northern Michigan University.

Carol has worked for the Florida Department of Health “HRS”, helping people with STD’s for almost 20 years, retiring in 2011.

Carol will always be remembered as a beautiful and intelligent person, who always had a positive outlook on life. She was always willing to give of herself and devoted many years to helping others.

Among survivors include her daughters, Teena Rifenburgh of Oakland Park, FL and Felicia (Bethel “Donnie”) Strode of Davie, FL; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Linda) LaMarch, Mary LaMarch of Escanaba, Rick (Lori) LaMarch, Steve (Patti) LaMarch, Therese (Patrick) Fitzgerald, and Charlene Carlson all of Escanaba; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful puppy, Zoey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 23rd at 12 noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church with Rev. Eric Olson officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the LaMarch family with arrangements.

  1. I met up with Carol in Ft. Lsuderdale in the 70’s. It was wonderful to meet a fellow Escanaban. We had a nice friendship while I lived there. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. She is in my thoughts.

  2. I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend and classmate of 1967 at HNHS, we have so so many HS memories together! I extend my deepest sympathies to the LaMarch family, know that my thoughts and prayers go with you during this most difficult time, keep her memories close in your hearts always!!
