Bryan A. “K-Bar” Kwarciany, 20, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 from injuries sustained in a car accident. As an organ donor, he has made a difference and has given the gift of life to many others.
He was born on October 18, 1996 in Escanaba, son of Stanley “Butch” and Judy (Strong) Kwarciany Jr. Bryan graduated from Escanaba High School in 2015 and excelled in baseball, football and track and field as a pole vaulter.
Bryan worked in the woods and as a general handyman. He more recently helped with deliveries for Menards.
Bryan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and spending time riding the lawnmower. He diligently took on the role as caretaker for their family’s camp following his dad passing and loved being there.
He was a huge X-box and rap music fan. A couple of his biggest loves were his 2008 white Dodge Charger and his cat, Bear.
Bryan was a member of the Potawatomi Tribe.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Among survivors include his mom, Judy Kwarciany of Escanaba; brothers and sisters, Jean Gaumer of LaCrosse, WI, Lora (Jim Kossow) Johnson of Gladstone, Amy (David) Guenette Jr. of Escanaba, Kristy (Mike) Catalano of Toledo, OH, Jessica (Joe Barnett) Kwarciany and Jennifer Kwarciany both of Escanaba, Mike Kwarciany of Green Bay, Dan (Heather) Gaumer of Green Bay, Branden Tomac of Escanaba and Edward Kwarciany of Escanaba; 17 nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews; and special high school friends, Mitchell, Zach and Kaleb.
In addition to his dad and grandparents, he was preceded in death by two great nephews, Williejames Jr. and Michael Scott.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 25th from 1 – 4:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. A meal will be served in the church hall.
Burial will be in South Ford River Cemetery.
