Bret White Eagle Boda, 32, W305 Oak Road, Wilson, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at his home.
He was born on October 16, 1981 in Escanaba, son of William Boda and Donna (Wandahsega) Boda. Bret attended Nah Tah Wahsh Hannahville Indian School and graduated in 1999. He participated in basketball and soccer while attending high school and won many awards for his athletic accomplishments. Bret was well liked by his teachers and his peers.
Bret was employed with the Island Resort and Casino as a slot attendant.
He enjoyed playing golf.
Among survivors include his parents William (Patti) Boda of Escanaba and Donna (Wandahsega) Boda (significant other, Victor Valentine); daughter, Breanna Raine Boda of Escanaba; son, Wyatt William Boda of Escanaba; step daughter, Wynnona Paige Seymour of Escanaba; sister, Tyra Marie Boda of Escanaba; brothers, Kenneth Seymour and Phillip David Wandahsega and Kyle William Boda of Hannahville, Tallen Jay Boda of Escanaba and Trevor Chase Wandahsega of Hannahville; step sisters, Mellissa Metzger and Amanda (Terry) Scheeman of Hannahville; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Seymour Wandahsega.
Visitation will begin on Friday, May 16th after 4 p.m. at the Hannahville Community Center. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in the Hannahville Cemetery.
