Bonnie J. Teal, 86, of Bark River, passed away Friday evening, March 31, 2017 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was affectionately known as “Gramma Cookies” and “Aunt Buns.” She was born on May 3, 1930 in Escanaba, daughter of Chester and Margaret (Andersen) Calouette.
Bonnie attended Escanaba High School and later earned her Associates of Business Degree from Bay College.
On July 19, 1947, the former Bonnie Calouette married Wayne Teal at St. Joseph’s Church in Escanaba. This July they would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.

Bonnie was a social butterfly. She loved people, and they were always drawn to her. Before Macular Degeneration changed her life, Bonnie loved to sew, cook, bake, travel and attend Bark River Harris basketball games. The show “Dancing with the Stars” made her week.
Family was number one in Bonnie’s life. She always had room for one more at the kitchen table. She hosted many holiday gatherings and helped out in any way she could to make life easier for others. Bonnie’s family meant the world to her.
