Bonnie Ann Petrovich, 63, of Gladstone, passed away early Saturday morning, June 1, 2019 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on December 6, 1955 in Eaton Rapids, MI, daughter of Lloyd and Betty J. (Priest) Brown. Bonnie was raised and graduated high school in Perkins, class of 1974.
Bonnie married Duane Petrovich in August of 1978 in Escanaba. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2018.
Bonnie worked as a waitress for several years at the Log Cabin before being employed at Besse Forest Products Group in Gladstone for 30 years. She was a determined person who would have worked as long as possible if her health didn’t force an early retirement.
She loved going to the casino, watching her birds and gardening. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most special moments to her. She was a selfless person who always took care of everyone’s needs before her own.
Bonnie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gladstone.
Among survivors include her son, Chuck (Jennie) Gylock of Escanaba; grandchildren, Leanne, Zachary and Kevin Priebe and Ava, Cole and Caden Gylock; numerous great grandchildren, Emmitt, Lilian, Alivia, Jackson and Roman; siblings, Warren (Gloria) Brown, Cathy (Dale) Couillard, Dava (Lee) Ferrier, Carol Harris and Brenda (Bob Aper) McGeary all of Perkins; sister in law, Darlene (Donald) Couillard; special niece and caregiver for the past eight months, Gloria Walters; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Duane; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Priebe in 2001 and brother, Hal Brown.
In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, no services will be held.
