Amanda M. Taylor, 31, Bark River (Ford River), passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015, at UP Health System-Marquette.

She was born on May 2, 1984 in Escanaba, daughter of Dale and Christine (Markham) Taylor.

Amanda graduated from Escanaba High School in 2002, and attended Bay de Noc Community College.

She was employed by Bishop Noa Home and D & L Janitorial.

Amanda enjoyed scrap booking and spending time with her son, Karter.

She is survived by her parents, Dale and Christine Taylor of Bark River; son, Karter Smith of Escanaba; sister, Autumn Taylor of Cooks; nephew, Hunter Johnson of Cooks; maternal grandmother, Joanne Markham; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Keeghan Jace Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Culbertson officiating. A meal will follow in the funeral home dining area.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Taylor family.

  1. Sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. My prayers are with you and your entire family. It’s never easy losing a loved one let alone a child but she is now at peace and looking down with a smile on her face.

  2. Even tho we didn’t see each other much, you will be greatly missed. I pray for you and for your son Karter that in time all wounds will be healed. With God anything is possible.
