Thomas N. "Tom" Beauchamp, 100, passed away Friday evening, December 2, 2016 at Christian Park Village.

He was born April 21, 1916 in Escanaba, son of Edward and Matilda "Tillie" (Cooligan) Beauchamp. Thomas graduated from Escanaba Area High School and served his country in the Army.

Tom was a professional painter until his retirement. Tom was a self-taught artist, recognized locally for many of his beautiful paintings at the U.P. State Fair. He was an avid reader and supported a healthy life style riding his bike many miles a day until age 92. His number one goal was to live to be 100 and he was featured in the Daily Press last April, celebrating that century mark. Tom made many friends during his lifetime and he will be missed by many.

Among his survivors include nieces and nephews, Helen and Gary LaPlant, Kathy Weir, Jane and Larry Acciaioli, Carolyn Bohan, Patrick Bohan, Ann and Peter Hayes, Kerry and Sean Depuydt. Carol and Jeff Boden, Patricia and Michael O'Donnell, Mary Kay Wille, Annetta and Shahina Shakori, Michael and Joanne Beauchamp; and great niece, Maureen and Travis Cary.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Beauchamp, Annetta Beauchamp, Rodrique and Marcella Beauchamp, Leonard and Millie Beauchamp, Robert Beauchamp, Edward Beauchamp, Lucile Beauchamp, Patricia (Beauchamp) and James Bohan; and nephew James Bohan.

In keeping with Tom's wishes, there will be no services held. He will be buried with his parents in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

Memorials in Tom's name may be made to the Community Foundation for Delta County.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
