Edmund K. Williams “Nii Zhoo Benaisii”, 58, Wilson, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at UP Health Systems – Marquette.

He was born in Neenah, WI, on February 1, 1957, son of the late Harry and Shirley (Lamourie) Williams Sr. He was raised in the Neenah, WI, Minneapolis, MN, and Green Bay areas. He moved to Hannahville in 2012.

Edmund graduated from Neenah High School in 1975. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership. Edmund was previously enrolled in a doctoral program at University of Wisconsin Madison but had not completed the program.

On June 29, 2012, Edmund married the former Barbara Halfday in Hannahville.

He was employed by Lac Courte Orielles Community College as a TRIO program coordinator, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh as a graduate student and graduate assistant, Hannahville Happenings newsletter as editor/publisher, Kalihwisaks newspaper of Oneida Nation of Wisconsin as assistant managing editor, and was a professional intern at Oshkosh Buyers Guide Sunday.

Edmund is survived by his wife, Barbara; nine sons, Eddie Williams of Cass Lake, MN, Jason Williams, Terrence Williams, and Jesse Kaquatosh-Williams of Green Bay, Tonto (Amanda) Wandahsega, Vernon Thunder Jr., Vincent Teeple Jr., Vance Teeple, and Christopher Teeple all of Hannahville; four daughters, Ruth Mestas of Becker, MN, Barbara (Maurice) Speltz and Nikki Williams both of Minneapolis, MN, and Savannah Kaquatosh of Green Bay; siblings, Christine Williams and Rebecca (Charlie) Williams of Minneapolis, MN, Harry J. Williams, Anthony S. Williams, Gregory A. (Debra) Williams Sr., and Brian L. (Marlene) Williams all of Hannahville, and Henry L. (Nora) Williams of Bark River; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kathleen M. Wandahsega, Julie A. Williams, Charles Williams, and Winona Kaquatosh.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Hannahville Community Center after 4 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. at on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the community center.

Burial will be in Hannahville Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Williams family.
